Shinohara Shiko’s “Introduction”

Shinohara Shiko holds several things dear.

The first thing we hold dear is our pursuit for the essence of what we make.
We continue asking ourselves questions, so we can make which that carries “you” in it.
We keep asking ourselves why it is that we create and why we create things the way we do. We hold this process – one through which we find the essence in which that is intangible and make it tangible – dear.

The second thing we hold dear is the fact that we work with clients like yourself.
It is our wish to work through projects with our clients.
We don’t distinguish between who design the work and who make the work tangible – rather, our clients and we share ideas and thoughts about the work and do our best to make it tangible.
We believe that a product created out of collaboration has the power to touch the soul of the person who receives it.

The third thing we hold dear is our can-do attitude.
Every day at Shinohara, we see ideas brought to us that no one else has been able to make tangible. Failures and unpredictable challenges are unavoidable when one is about to venture into unchartered territory. However, it is only through challenges that new creations are born, and when our clients and we work together to overcome these challenges, there is a whole new world beyond that for us to behold.
There are always new discoveries to be made in the process of making things, and it all starts with our “can-do attitude”, with which, given our constraints, we give the challenge our best shot. We go through ups and downs, and it is through this process that products we have never before seen are born.

It is beyond anyone’s imagination to make something out of human hands and hearts.

And it is always people who make such creations possible.
That is why we cherish everyone who is part of Shinohara Shiko.
It is through challenges that our clients and we build relationships so strong that allow us to get to the essence of what we make and touch the soul of people.
